Care Management
The Case Management Fee includes reviewing care agreements, coordinating services, clinical governance, ensuring cultural safety, and managing risks to the care recipient’s well-being. These services follow Direct Care Australia’s Fair Use Guidelines.
Care Management Charge & Hours
Where a client exceeds their allocated number of case management hours for 3 months in a 12-month period, Direct Care Australia reserve the right to charge an additional 5% to the package.
- Level 1: $69.13 per fortnight & up to 1 hour of Care Management monthly
- Level 2: $121.58 per fortnight & up to 2 hours of Care Management monthly
- Level 3: $264.59 per fortnight & up to 4 hours of Care Management monthly
- Level 4: $401.11 per fortnight & up to 6 hours of Care Management monthly
Monthly Statements
Your Care Manager will confirm all in-home and brokered services each month.
- Monthly statements will be sent to you and/or your nominated representative no later than the 20th of each month.
Service Charges
- A minimum two-hour service fee is recommended unless otherwise negotiated
- After the second hour, services are charged in 15-minute increments
The Package Management Fee
The Package Management Fee covers coordinating third-party services, managing invoices and records, arranging home modifications, ensuring staff suitability, and conducting quality improvement and compliance activities. It also includes preparing quality reports and maintaining COVID vaccination compliance documents.

Cancellation / Reschedule Fee
- No fee for services cancelled or rescheduled at least with at least 48 hours’ notice.
- 50% charge for cancellations or reschedules within 48- and 24-hours’ notice.
- Full charge for cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled shift.
Kilometre Rate
$1.26 per km
