Direct Care Australia does not charge a Basic Daily Fee to clients.

Income Tested Care Fee

If you have additional income, you may be asked to pay the Income tested care fees. Centrelink will work out the fee based on your financial situation. Your home is not included in determining the income by the Centrelink.

Personal Care, Domestic Services, Garden & Home Maintenance, and In-Home Respite

Monday – Friday 6am – 8pm $76.13 per hour
8pm – 10pm $93.92 per hour
10pm – 6am $96.81 per hour
Saturday Day & Night $107.84 per hour
Sunday Day & Night $133.25 per hour
Public Holidays Day & Night $152.26 per hour
Passive Overnights Available on request $260 per night

Nursing – Registered Nurse

Includes provision for report writing

Monday – Friday 6am – 8pm
$152.25 per hour
$136.50 half an hour
Telephone Consultation $52.50 per 15 mins

Occupational Therapy Rate

Monday – Friday 6am – 8pm
$160 per hour

Wellbeing Support

Kilometer Rate $1.26 per km
May include shower, medication, settling in bed or just wellbeing check

Monday – Friday 6am – 8pm $62.79 per 30min
Saturday 8am – 8pm $88.20 per 30min
Sunday 8am – 8pm $112.93 per 30min
Public Holidays $131.25 per 30min

Care Management

is a fixed daily charge which covers the cost of managing your services, including:
regular care plan reviews, coordinating and scheduling services, reviewing services to make sure care is safe and appropriate.

Package Management

is a fixed daily charge which covers the cost of providing a package of care and services, including:
preparing budgets and monthly statements, compliance and quality assurance activities, managing package funds etc.

General Terms and Conditions:

  • Direct Care Australia may not be able to directly provide some services in selected areas but will arrange alternate providers in these circumstances
  • Equipment hire/purchase and home modification: pricing determined at the time of quote and agreed by you.
  • Fees will be reviewed annually and may be subject to change. We will give you 14 days written notice of any changes to our fees.

Monthly Statements:

will be sent to your and/or your nominated representative each month.

Cancellation / Reschedule Fee

  • No fee for services cancelled or rescheduled at least with at least 48 hours’ notice.
  • 50% charge for cancellations or reschedules within 48- and 24-hours’ notice.
  • Full charge for cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled shift.
